The Vastedda del Belìce PDO at #Cheese2023

  Fourteenth edition of the largest event dedicated to cheeses. This is the #Cheese2023.
The Slow Food Foundation has always been committed to the defense of biodiversity and the promotion of typical products. In particular, quality dairy excellence.

From Sept. 15 to 18 in Bra, in the province of Cuneo, there will be more than 200 events including workshops and conferences, show cooking. All the focus will be on cheeses and the 400 exhibitors representing cheesemakers, shepherds and affineurs from tutts Italy from 14 European countries: France, Spain, Belgium and Holland, Austria and Switzerland, Ukraine, Macedonia, Romania and Bulgaria, Turkey, Norway, Sweden and Portugal. Among exhibitors from overseas, the return of the United States stands out.

Theme of the 2023 edition will be The Taste of Meadows.

The stable meadow is an emblem of the perfect balance between nature and humans, between respect for the environment and production. An environmental, social, cultural and economic heritage that can change the future of the highlands, but also regenerate the exhausted soils of the lowlands, where livestock farming has lost contact with the land and intensive agriculture has compromised the vitality of the soils.
